About

Welcome to my newest endeavor.  My name is Margaret and I live in Northern Virginia (NOVA) with my significant other (D) and our 3 children (K, D2 & K2).  D works all the time, so we have difficult times – like many.  But we love each other and work hard to stay together.  K is my 10-year-old athlete.  He is finishing 5th grade.  D2 is my 2-year-old, stubborn, but lovable smarty pants.  He will start preschool in the fall and he can’t wait.  K2 is my 8 month old princess.  She is the baby and the only girl.  The boys adore her and she likes them too.  We have an anxious dog, who never stops barking.  Her name is Flower after the skunk in Bambi.  We have a smart cat, who is very well-behaved.  His name is Smokie.  And we have some fish that never die.  Including one that has a problem and he regularly swims upside down.

I work multiple part-time jobs from home, so that we can make ends meet and I can continue to stay home with the munchkins.  I process paperwork for my parents online real estate school.  I print and deliver documents for a medical transcription company.  I assist with the rentals for my parents vacation properties.  I am about to start handling rental leads for my step-fathers real estate business.  At some point in the near future I will get my real estate license.  I am the co-fundraiser chair for D2s preschool and have offered to be the secretary for K’s PTO next year.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in European Studies and a minor in Japanese Studies.  I attended 1 year of law school before taking a hiatus, I have yet to return.  I was a paralegal for 10 years, I taught preschool and SACC (before and after-school care) and I opened my own business which closed way too soon.

While I have never considered my life interesting enough to read about, I have been requested to give this a try.  My life is stressful some days, enjoyable most days and full every day.  But interesting? . . . well, maybe.

Enjoy and let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

    Dear Lady M,

I am so sorry for the loss of your grandfather. May the memories of his life and the times you shared as a family bring you much comfort in the days ahead.

    Warmly,
